లెక్చరర్ కొడుకైన సాగర్ (శ్రీవిష్ణు) కు చిన్నప్పటి నుండి చదువు సరిగా ఎక్కదు. బ్రతకడమంటే నచ్చిన పని చేసుకుని సంతోషంగా ఉండటమే అనుకునే సాగర్ తాను అమితంగా ప్రేమించే తండ్రిని మెప్పించాలని డిగ్రీ పాసవడానికి సప్లిమెంటరీ పరీక్షలు రాస్తూ ఇబ్బందిపడుతూ ఉంటాడు.ఒకానొక దశలో తనకు నచ్చింది చేయడానికి వీలుకాక, తండ్రికి నచ్చినట్టు మారలేక తీవ్ర ఒత్తిడికి, వేదనకు గురై ఇంట్లోంచి కూడ బయటికొచ్చేస్తాడు. అలా బయటికొచ్చిన సాగర్ ఏమయ్యాడు, చివరికి అతని భాధ తన తండ్రికి ఎలా అర్థమయ్యింది అనేదే కథాంశం.
